Sarah strives to share messages that are not only inspirational, but practical as well. Below you’ll find some of her favorite topics, but she is always open to meet the needs of your group and is equipped to share on a wide range of issues. Most topics can be shortened or lengthened depending on your time constraints. The sessions are most appropriate for teens and twenty-something women.

It’s All “Spiritual”, but is it all good?
We live in a very "spiritual" culture, but it can be SO confusing trying to figure who is what and what they believe. Come learn the basics about some interesting belief systems and how you can best talk to those who call themselves “spiritual” but don’t seem to know God. (45-60 minutes)
Renegade Relationships
In both friendships and romances, we play with fire when we give our hearts to those who don’t share our faith. Learn how to recognize and resist renegade relationships, while still engaging your culture for Christ. (45-60 minutes)
True Confessions
Part testimony, part expose of the witchcraft belief system, this session will help you recognize how you can keep from sliding into deception. Sarah herself was a practicing teenage witch for a number of years before she met the one True God. (45-60 minutes)
The Artist Within
The church doesn’t always know how to care for or even understand creative minds. Come and discover how to take pleasure in the way you were created and help other understand the differences of the “artistic temperament” (45-60 minutes)
Body & Soul
We often like to talk about purity and say that it’s a good thing, but how do you go about actually being pure – inside and out? Come find out where purity starts. (45-60 minutes)
Music, TV, Movies...What's the Big Deal ?
We have SO much entertainment out there nowadays. How do you make choices about what you watch and listen to? And what does God have to say about all of it? Come learn some tips to help you navigate the technological waters. (45-60 minutes)
Christians and Hollywood
Is Hollywood the modern Sodom and Gomorrah or is it a modern-day Ninevah? Come and talk Hollywood and discover what you can do to make a difference no matter where you live. (45-60 minutes)
Trapped!
The enemy can lure us into believing we have no way out of a bad situation. This session looks at truth and confession and how it can free us from a dangerous thought life. Included in this is a look at cutting and suicidal thoughts. (45-60 minutes)*
* This session can be adapted for parents of teens to look at the risky behaviors teens might choose to engage in, as can several other topics.
Reality Bites
We all hit rocky times when things don’t turn out the way we hoped or imagined. Or we lose someone we care deeply about. We’ll look at finding our way through the pain; discovering more of God along the way. (45-60 minutes)
A Unique Purpose!
Young people are encouraged to realize that they have a unique purpose for being here and how to discover the call of God on their lives. Instead of an emphasis on the “purpose”, this is an emphasis on the One who gave us the purpose. We will never go wrong when we follow Him. (45-60 minutes)
You’ve Got Personality!
Based on the teaching of the four temperaments, this session teaches young people an appreciation of others and skills to help get along better at home, church and school. (1-3, 60 minute sessions)
Mini-Events
These are some pre-designed events that can literally be transported right to your church. You can either have the full package and we’ll do everything (except registration and refreshments) or you can decide what part your church would like to take on to lower some of the costs. Have an idea for an event but don’t know where to start? Sarah can personally design an event around your group’s needs. She loves getting creative!
Midnight Masquerade
A fun four-hour event designed for middle or high school girls. Topics include who we are in Christ, the masks we wear and how to be the best we can be for God. Large and small group sessions are included.
Pajamas & Purity
A fun four-hour event designed for middle or high school girls. Topics include “More Than An Act”, “More Than A Body” and “More Than Gold”. Large and small group sessions are included.
School Sessions
As an author, Sarah is often invited to speak at schools. Below are some topic ideas designed specifically for use in the school setting. If you have a specific topic in mind, Sarah is open to consider it.
Building a Story
Sarah's most requested topic is designed for students to help them understand the nuts and bolts of story structure. Using movies for plot examples, Sarah helps students see how they can make their stories stronger and more interesting.
The Writing Life
Sarah shares on what the writing life is really all about. Dispelling myths and motivating writers, she'll talk about the nitty-gritty of the writing life.
